Over human leg mountains, inside pillow-case caves, and through doona-cover forests, a brave young rat by the name of Louie, travelled this morning, with nothing to sustain him but his nearby hoard of half-eaten hidden treats, and a conveniently placed bowl of water. He fought great battles, from the attack of the giant kitten, to the strange enormous hand that would at random intervals fly over and tickle his belly.
He travelled very far across the purple bed-lands, and after a long arduous journey, with many setbacks along the way, he came to a spot where he found he was able to very carefully climb down the side of the purple land, onto the mysterious grey expanse that he was rarely allowed to explore.
He made his way down carefully, sniffing around for the kitten he knew was still around somewhere, and had finally reached the magnificent grey, when- oh, no! That annoying giant hand swooped him up and placed him right back where his journey had begun! Irritated, but undeterred, he rushed back to the edge of the purple, and this time hurried down to the grey as fast as his little legs would carry him, but Alas! As soon as his toes hit the strange floor, he was again lifted back up onto the bedlands and tickled, and he heard THAT VOICE say his name in an amused sort of way.
Again and again, he tried to reach the grey, but again and again that hand stopped him, until finally, somehow, he found himself up on his human's shoulder- his favourite place in the world to be! He made a happy little noise and licked her neck, and together they set off on an even bigger adventure- getting the mail!
